Biography - Robert Finney
Robert is said to have been born in 1515 in Lenton, Nottinghamshire and to have died in 1535 at Newark Castle.
Despite appearing in numerous online trees (5000+ at ancestry) and also on the FamilySearch Tree [1] none of these offer any sources. No sources have been found to substantiate either of these "facts" nor his spouse. The Finney family is completely absent from the Visitations of Nottinghamshire and as his parents are reputedly from Somerset (they are also absent from the 1623 Visitations of Somerset) his birth in Nottinghamshire is quite dubious.
